ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — First responders were called to the scene of a crash on I-39 near Baxter Road on Thursday morning.
The crash was reported at 10:25 a.m.
Blackhawk Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Kevin Schulz said a vehicle was heading south on I-39 and lost control at Mile Marker 115, crossed over the northbound lanes, and crashed into the ditch.
Two people were taken from the scene via ambulance to Rockford area hospitals and are said to have suffered critical injuries…
