ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – One area artist wants to spread light in times of darkness with her art.
Less than a week ago, a shooting took place outside District Bar and Grill. Police say multiple windows at the front of the restaurant were shattered and several shell casings were seen in the street. Two parked vehicles were also hit by bullets.
Temporary wood was placed over the damaged windows, but a Rockford-area artist says it was a reminder of what took place, and she wanted to change that.
