ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Monday starts out as another beautiful fall-like day across the Stateline with cooler temperatures in the morning before warming into the 70s by the afternoon. The weather this week is shaping up to be a textbook example of late-summer comfort, with clear skies, mild nights, and steadily rising daytime temperatures.

The warming trend begins Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and highs into the upper 70s. Skies become mostly cloudy overnight Tuesday, and temperatures stay warmer than the previous night, with lows into the middle 50s.
