Gunshot detection system leads to arrest in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police said a Rockford man is in custody after firing a weapon in a backyard late Saturday night.

Rockford Police credited the ShotSpotter (aka SoundThinking) gunshot detection system for alerting them to a weapon discharge in the 1800 block of Kishwaukee Street.
