MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — A car explosion in Machesney Park on Hackberry Lane is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal after a gas can inside the vehicle exploded just before 2 PM Friday.
The explosion was powerful enough to blow the doors off the car, and a man was taken to the hospital to be treated for burns.
