ROCKFORD — The shuttered charity organization Miss Carly’s has sold a portion of its property in Midtown, and it’s under contract to sell the rest, according to a former board member.
Miss Carly’s Inc. sold the former Pho Hien Buddist Temple space at 1125 Fifth Ave. to David Mowery of Racine, Wisconsin, on Sept. 19 for $90,000, according to documents with the Winnebago County Clerk & Recorder’s Office.
The nonprofit still owns the former Ellida Lodge next door at 1111-1115 Fifth Ave. and the two parking lots south of the building. However, those properties are under contract for a sale with the transaction expected to close before the end of the month, according to Thomas Lindquist, trustee of the properties and a former board member for Miss Carly’s.
