Boone County woman sentenced to prison for arson, setting wrong house on fire

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WTVO) — A Boone County woman has been sentenced to spend 13 years in prison for setting the wrong house on fire in an arson attack.

According to the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, Brittany Terrell, 33, of Garden Prairie, along with an accomplice, drove to a home near downtown Crystal Lake in the early morning hours of April 20th.

Authorities said Terrell took a metal container containing an accelerant, lit it, and threw it at the exterior of the home, causing it to catch fire…
