ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Around 2,000 athletes from 15 states were in Rockford Sunday for the annual Head of the Rock Regatta; highlighted by a 3.1-mile course on the Rock River.
It’s hosted by the Rock River Valley YMCA Rowing Club. Organizers consider this timed race a fall feature event since 1985 offering athletes and fans a prime experience at a rowing venue.
