ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce is highlighting the booming aerospace industry in Rockford, which is home to the 14th largest cargo airport in the United States.
Rockford’s strategic location and robust infrastructure, including major interstates, facilitate the growth of its aerospace sector. The presence of major manufacturers like Collins Aerospace, Woodward, and GE supports over 100 smaller suppliers and service organizations, contributing to the region’s economic expansion.
