(WTVO/WQRF) — Hononegah gave NIC-10 leader Belvidere North all it could handle Friday night at Kelsey Field, but the Blue Thunder once again found a way in crunch time to pull off a win 27-24.Belvidere North trailed 24-21 midway through the fourth quarter. That’s when the Blue Thunder put together a long drive pounding the ball on the ground with hard runs by Erick Roman, Ben Bucher, and Andrew Bucci. It was Bucci who covered the final few yards with a run over the left side of his line for the game-winning touchdown with 3:03 to play.Hononegah threw its playbook wide up with a lateral and pass that went for big yards, and a deep pass to start the third quarter by Drew Shockley to 6’4 junior Caleb Parker.
