Belvidere’s sprawling but idled Stellantis automotive assembly plant is coming back to life and Brian Ahlgren is pleased to see it finally happen.
“I’m glad that Stellantis has finally decided to work with the UAW (United Auto Workers) to honor the agreements made in our last collective bargaining session,” said Ahlgren, a Stellantis employee since 2006 who last worked as a chassis assembler before a 2023 furlough. “This news is like answered prayer for Belvidere Assembly Plant employees.”
