ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Veterans and community members are gathering at Embassy Suites Saturday November 1 for Rockford’s annual Veterans Dinner.
The tradition has been celebrated for more than 80 years. The event includes a social hour at 5:30 p.m., and dinner at 6:45 p.m.
“The Veterans Dinner is a time-honored tradition that reminds us of the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. This event provides an opportunity for the community to come together in a spirit of gratitude and respect,” said Scott Lewandowski, the event coordinator. “We are especially excited to welcome Major General Granger, whose contributions to military medicine and veterans’ welfare have been extraordinary.”…
