Rockford Residents: LIHEAP Energy Assistance Appointments Available November 5-6 at Northwest Community Center

The City of Rockford Health and Human Services Department will hold outreach sessions for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) this week. These sessions aim to help eligible low-income households with energy costs. LIHEAP provides financial assistance by paying benefits directly to utility companies or to renters whose utility costs are included in their rent.

Appointments for LIHEAP assistance will be available at the Northwest Community Center on Wednesday, November 5, and Thursday, November 6, 2025. Sign-ups start at 8:45 a.m. each day, and appointments begin at 9 a.m. Only 50 appointments will be accepted per day. Once all slots are filled, sign-ups will close for that day.
