ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – For 17 years, the Cremation Society of Illinois and Heartland Hospice have hosted the Veterans Ceremony and Luncheon.
Dozens of people gathered at Grace United Methodist, 3555 McFarland Road, to honor those who served in the military through prayer and a Presentation of Colors by the Northern Illinois Multi-Jurisdictional Honor Guard.
Organizers say the ceremony is a way to give back to those who served our country and make sure they know how much they are appreciated…
