ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A cold and blustery day across the Stateline, with a clipper system bringing brief snow showers early Tuesday morning before 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. We could see a dusting on untreated and grassy surfaces.
The bigger weather story will be the frigid temperatures with wind chills in the teens for many of us across the Stateline. Expect winds to turn gusty out of the southwest by late morning with highs into the low 40s by the afternoon with partial clearing.
What’s Coming Up…
Once we get past the cool and windy conditions Tuesday, an upper-level ridge will build into the area keeping our warming trend on track for the remainder of the week.
Wednesday highs will top out in the mid 40s with overnight lows back down into the 20s. A mix of sun and clouds plays out on Thursday as temperatures rise into the 50s before going up into the 60s by Friday…
