Medicare costs set to rise in 2026

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Seniors across the stateline prepare for a noticeable jump in healthcare expenses next year as new Medicare rates for 2026 are set to increase the premiums and deductibles for millions of Americans.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has confirmed the standard Medicare Part B premium will rise to $202.90 per month in 2026, an increase of $17.90 from 2025. The annual Part B deductible will also increase from $257 to $283, while the Medicare Part A inpatient hospital deductible will climb to $1,736, up $60 from the previous year, according to CMS data.
