Applications have opened for millions of dollars in HUD grants that are aimed at strengthening homelessness services in some northern Illinois counties.
Renewal and New Funding Available
The City of Rockford Health and Human Services Department is teaming up with the Northern Illinois Homeless Coalition to open applications for the 2025 HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) competitive grant cycle.
The program supports agencies that are serving individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in Winnebago, DeKalb, and Boone counties, intending to accelerate re-housing efforts and strengthen long-term stability across northern Illinois.
Nearly $4 Million Available for Local Providers
This year’s funding includes over $2.7 million for renewal projects, along with significant expansion opportunities, according to the press release.
