ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – After 33 years, a popular Rockford roller skating rink will soon have new ownership.
Friday, Nov. 21, Skateland owners, Phil and Susie Smalley, put out a message saying on Dec. 1, they will be selling their location at 4843 Stenstrom Rd., and going into retirement.
“We’re excited to see what fresh energy and ideas the next owners will bring. We’ll be cheering them on, and you might just catch us back here teaching our grandkids how to skate on this very hardwood floor,” the Smalleys wrote in their announcement…
