Considine’s five TDs and some great Byron defense send the Tigers back to state

RICHMOND-BURTON, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Byron Tigers were expecting a physical, hard-fought battle against Richmond-Burton Saturday in the 3A IHSA State Semifinals. They got that for one series plus from the Rockets, but then it was all Byron.The Tigers defeated the previously undefeated Rockets 44-10 Saturday afternoon. The Rockets had the football first, and they put together a 73-yard touchdown drive using some physical runs and shot, accurate passes to keep the chains moving chewing up 8:35 off the clock. All-State running back Hunter Carley scored on a two-yard touchdown run for a 7-0 Richmond-Burton lead.After that the only points R-B got were on a field goal late in the first quarter. Byron had a three-and-out on its first offensive possession. The Tigers ran only three plays in the first quarter.
