- A few flurries possible tonight, turning cold
- Brief sunshine by Friday, with increasing clouds
- A winter storm arrives early Saturday with steady snow
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – It was a cold and blustery Thanksgiving Day, as temperatures remained in the lower to middle 30s, with wind chills in the teens and twenties. Cloud cover made its way through the area throughout the day with a few flurries and snow showers throughout the evening hours with no accumulations. Tonight, expect a few of these flurries to continue with mostly cloudy skies and an overnight low dropping to nineteen degrees. Friday looks to be the calm before the storm. Sunshine will start the day off, before clouds begin to increase ahead of an area of low pressure that will move its way across central Illinois by Saturday. Expect another cold day, with a high of thirty-one degrees, with lighter winds.
