Days after near-record snowstorm, Rockford area faces more snow, cold

ROCKFORD, IL — Wintry storms and frigid conditions are in the forecast this week threatening to dump an additional up to 4 inches across the region before temperatures plummet.

On the heels of a near-record November snowstorm this past weekend, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather warning from 2 p.m. to midnight Dec. 1 including Winnebago, Boone, Stephenson and Ogle counties.
