FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — The city of Freeport is nearing the completion of adding new eight electric vehicle chargers in the downtown area.
“The city of Freeport went on a project hunt about a year ago to get EV chargers in downtown Freeport. We found a project to install eight Level Three (Direct Current Fast Chargers, of DCFC) chargers. It was a goal of Freeport to have level three chargers because they’re the better charging units,” said senior project manager of Fehr Graham, Darin Stykel.
