Another day, another recall from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and it affects brands that Rockford shoppers pick up every single week. More than 260,000 cases of shredded cheese made by Great Lakes Cheese Co. have been flagged because the products may contain small metal fragments.
Recall Reclassified After New Safety Concerns
Originally first issued in early October, but reclassified just a few days ago as a Class II recall, meaning anyone who eats this could experience temporary but treatable health issues. Thus far, no injuries have been reported.
