ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A major employer in the stateline is preparing to wind down operations, leaving roughly 150 workers facing job loss in the coming months.
TreeHouse Foods says its cookie production site in South Beloit will cease operations, marking a significant change for one of the city’s longstanding manufacturing facilities.
The company, which is in the process of being sold to an investment firm overseas, indicated that the closure plan has been in place for some time, which city officials confirmed.
