Rockford arson suspect on the run after missing court hearing

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A woman, charged with setting fire to a high-rise apartment building, is a fugitive from justice after failing to appear in court, according to Rockford Area Crime Stoppers.

On April 28, around 7:37 p.m., Rockford Fire was called to 511 North Church Street for a fire at the Olsen Plaza apartments.

According to police reports, Rogers, 55, and her husband were involved in an argument that escalated when Rogers set clothing on fire, triggering the building’s fire suppression system…
