ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Rockford Public Schools 205 says it has narrowed its superintendent search to three external candidates.
In a statement to WIFR, the Board of Education says:
We’re in the final stages of our search for the next superintendent. Once a candidate is selected and their contract is accepted, we’ll share a public announcement and introduce our new leader to the community. This has been a confidential search. Out of respect for all candidates, and to protect their relationships within their current school communities, we won’t be releasing any names at this time. There are three finalists, all external candidates. At least one is currently serving as a superintendent, and we’re committed to honoring the integrity of their professional roles during this process…
