Rockford approves largest capital improvement plan in city histotry

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford City Council on Monday approved a sweeping, five year, $385 million Capital Improvement Program (CIP), the largest infrastructure program the city has ever adopted.

The plan sets an aggressive pace for roadway reconstruction, flood mitigation, neighborhood revitalization, water system upgrades, and major economic development corridors through 2030.
