PRINCETON, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois State Police say a suspect in a Rock County homicide killed himself at an Illinois rest stop after being pursued by state troopers.
According to police, on Wednesday, December 10th, troopers located a vehicle associated with the Rock County murder in Princeton. When officials attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver fled, leading police on a pursuit into the Great Sauk Trail Rest Area on I-80.
When it stopped, law enforcement attempted to make contact with the driver. Failing that, they approached the vehicle and found him dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
