CHERRY VALLEY, Ill. (WTVO) — Cherry Valley hosted a first time event called A village Christmas.
Local businesses downtown opened their doors for festive activities, treats, sales, mini events and more. Santa strolled through the village streets. The organizer of the event said this got started because of more businesses coming to Cherry Valley. “For the last few years we’ve had an influx of people requesting for Cherry Valley do something similar to Rockford’s Stroll on State at a more village localized scale. We’ve also had such an influx of new businesses over the past few years that we wanted to showcase those people,” said Morgan Bell, Organizer.
The event ran from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at 6:30 all the businesses lit up their storefront windows at the same time creating a community holiday moment…
