ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — What a way to close out the year with a big rivalry game. Rockford University and Beloit College went at it on the hardwood Tuesday night with Beloit College winning 78-53.The game was tight until midway through the second half when the Buccaneers gained control. The Buccaneers were led by a 20-point effort from guard Anthony Carter. Semaj Roy was also in double figures with 11 points.The Regents were led by guard Jaden Bell with 17 points. Bell also went over the 1,000-point mark for his career. Kamren Hogan chipped in with ten points for RU.The Regents’ record is now 3-7.
