ROCKFORD — The National Stuttering Association is launching a new Rockford Family Chapter designed to bring together youth who stutter and the families who support them.
It will hold its first meeting and family meetup from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Carlson Ice Arena, 4150 N. Perryville Road, in Loves Park.
The local chapter will be led by Jessica Steinberg and her 13-year-old son, Trace, who is a person who stutters. Their goal is to provide a welcome and supportive space where children and teens can connect and build their confidence…
