ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – It was great to see some sunshine for the first half of the day, before cloud cover continued to fill in throughout the afternoon and evening. It was still a cold day, at least by December standards, as highs reached the lower 20s, with wind chills in the lower teens. As we head into tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies to keep temperatures fairly steady in the upper teens to lower 20s area wide.
