For many of the players, this tournament feels monumental. First and third-baseman Lizzy Davis shared her feelings about the pressure and excitement. “It’s definitely a little bit of pressure, but I’m super excited because I usually play very free, very loose and like, I like to have a lot of fun when I do it,” Davis said.

Josie Yakey, an outfielder, highlighted the uniqueness of this experience. “I just think it’s really cool. You get to learn everyone’s stories. It’s just really fun that we have such vast differences but we all get to set our mind on a one goal and that is to go play softball to the best of our abilities.
