ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Two cars and a garage were destroyed in a fire on S. 2nd Street early Thursday morning in Rockford.
The Rockford Fire Department said firefighters were called to the 400 block of S. 2nd Street around 6 a.m. and found a garage fully engulfed in flames. Officials said the fire had spread to a second garage and car behind a home in the 400 block of S. 3rd Street.
Firefighters had to limit their suppression operations until ComEd could de-energize power lines in the area…
