STEWARD, Ill. (WTVO) — A 21-year-old Rockford man who survived an airborne crash into a utility pole has been charged with drunk driving after a crash in Ogle County Wednesday night.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Xavier List drove his blue 2007 Mazda 3 northbound on N. Illinois Route 251 when he left the roadway in the 1700 block, entered the ditch, struck an embankment and became airborne before hitting a utility pole.
Around 8:34 p.m., authorities arrived on the scene and had List transported to an area hospital for his injuries, which officials said were not life-threatening…
