ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Dozens wearing shades of blue gather Friday at the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center to raise awareness for human trafficking.
It’s for the Second STAR (Standing Together Awareness is Raised) event. It’s held as part of Human Trafficking Awareness Month with the 17th Judicial Circuit Human Trafficking Court Response Team.
The biggest topic touched on at this year’s event is myths associated with human trafficking.
