Zion Lutheran Church celebrated the impact of community contributors at its 23rd annual MLK Legacy Awards.
The Legacy Awards, established in 2009, began as a way to honor individuals impacting the community positively. Ronald Simmons, a former recipient and key speaker at the event, emphasized that the awards are meant for those who help others feel like valued citizens of the community.
