Two accused of child endangerment after a road rage incident in Belvidere, police say

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) – A man and a woman are arrested after police say they endangered the life of two children in a road rage incident on Sunday.

Sylvester Cardona, 35, is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault and endangering the life or health of a child.

Eveleen A. Comas, 33, is charged with endangering the life or health of a child and attempted obstructing justice.

Around 5:30 p.m., Jan. 11, patrol officers went out to a report of someone threatening a man with a gun in the area of W. 9th St. and Maple Ave. in Belvidere.

The caller reported that a man had pointed a gun at him and told him to slow down when driving through the neighborhood, before he fled the scene…
