Rockford community honors MLK’s legacy at Scholarship Breakfast and Oratorical

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – On Saturday, the 22nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast and Oratorical took place in Rockford.

From 10 a.m. to noon, Jan. 17, community and faith leaders, students, educators and members of the public came together at Rockford University to honor the legacy of Dr. King.

The morning was filled with speeches and powerful messages where academic excellence, civic leadership and the call for justice were the focal points.
