New details are emerging about the arrest of Michael McKee, the vascular surgeon charged with the murders of his ex-wife and her new husband.
Federal agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives took McKee, 39, into custody in Illinois just after 10:30 a.m. on January 10 at a Chick-fil-A near his medical office in Rockford.
He was then booked into the Winnebago County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition to Ohio to face charges in connection with the deaths of Monique and Spencer Tepe.
An extradition date has not been released at this time, but McKee is set to appear in court on Jan. 23 for a status hearing if he’s still in the custody of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, court records show…
