ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — An elderly employee was assaulted in an armed robbery at a Rockford Walgreens on Tuesday, police said, announcing Friday that the suspect in the crime had been arrested.
According to Rockford Police, on January 20, around 7:45 p.m., Ray Griffin, 46, entered the Walgreens at 3802 Auburn Street while wearing a ski mask. Police said Griffin forcefully took the cash drawer from the female employee as she opened the cash register, threatened her, and fled with the cash.
