ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A man receives his prison sentence in connection to a Rockford shooting from June 2022.
Mario J. Perkins, 36, was sentenced to 20 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender.
A minimum of 85 percent of the sentence must be served with a mandatory supervised release of three years.
Perkins pleaded guilty to both charges in June of 2025…
