BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO) — Stellantis has delayed the reopening of the Belvidere Assembly Plant, possibly until June 2028, according to union representatives.
United Auto Workers Local 1268 President Matt Frantzen shared the update with workers at the former Chrysler plant on Monday, saying Stellantis confirmed a delay of approximately 7 months, but cited documents that project a 2028 relaunch.
