MOUNT MORRIS, IL — For nearly 14 years, Larry Ubben has worked tirelessly year-round to bring live music to Mount Morris and the surrounding communities every summer.
The Mount Morris Jamboree was born in 2012 when Ubben had an idea to expand on what was, at the time, a single community concert. Ubben’s vision was much larger.
“I thought to myself, ‘couldn’t we have that more often than one summer night a week? Let’s spread it out, make a summer of it,’” Ubben said. “So we started with some seed money of $4,500 and went from there.”…
