ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – In response to Nicor Gas filing a $221 million rate hike earlier this month, advocates hosted a Future Energy Forum Saturday to give the community perspective on this topic.
Nicor proposed this multi-million-dollar request to the Illinois commerce commission Jan. 9. According to Nicor’s website this will be used for upgrades like replacing equipment and relocating natural gas facilities.
