ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The owners of a longtime furniture business in Rockford reassures customers after rumors swirled about the status of the store.
Wednesday evening, David Gustafson of Gustafson’s Furniture and Mattress said the family plans to resume normal business functions soon as David and Christopher Gustafson prepare to take over the business.
The statement came as many questioned on social media why the store, located at 6651 E. State St., appeared to close suddenly.
“As many of you know, the Gustafsons are restructuring the business so that Dale and Trina can retire, and David Gustafson and Christopher Gustafson can continue serving our community for another 98 years,” the post on the business’ Facebook page says…
