Accused Rockford bowling alley mass shooter assigned new judge in murder case

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Duke Webb, the man accused of a mass shooting at Rockford’s Don Carter Lanes bowling alley in 2020, has assigned a new judge in his ongoing murder case.

On Tuesday, Judge Debra Schaefer granted Webb’s motion to have Judge John Gibbons recuse himself. Webb’s next court appearance is set for Thursday, February 12th, before Judge Ryan Swift.
