Rockford alderman now faces felony charges in DUI case

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Ald. Mark Bonne (D-14) now faces felony charges in his current DUI case.

New charges were filed Friday during a hearing in front of Judge Tamika Walker. Bonne has pleaded not guilty.

He was previously charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped for improper lane usage at Harrison and Alpine at 11:44 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26. He was cited and released after a breathalyzer registered a blood alcohol content above the legal limit of .08, according to police…
