Armed robbery conviction: 20-year-old Rockford man sentenced to 10 years

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A 20-year-old Rockford man has been convicted for his role in an armed robbery that triggered a car‑to‑car shootout and crash at Guilford and Mulford roads in 2024.

Police say Terrance Preshon, who was 18 at the time, and two other teenage suspects arranged an online meetup with a victim who believed he was selling vaping cartridges. During the meeting, the suspects allegedly robbed the teen at gunpoint, pushed him out of the vehicle, and ran over his ankle as they fled in a Hyundai.
