VetsRoll debuts 2 short films at Harlem High School

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WIFR) – A locally-founded charity for veterans holds the first ever doubleheader showing of two documentaries on Sunday.

From 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 22, VetsRoll will show the short films for free in the Harlem High School auditorium, 1 Huskie Cir. in Machesney Park.

Normandy: A Bridge to History will be shown first. The WWII documentary showcases four young adults as they accompany two World War II veterans to the places where history took place and lives were changed. Creators say the film “reflects on remembrance, gratitude and the human cost of freedom during history’s darkest hour.”…
